Job Description

Position Specifications:

Responsible for compensation and benefits. Manages and ensures an effective and competitive employee compensation program which safeguards internal equity. Effectively manages benefit programs. Supervises employee retention strategy and succession planning programs.

General:

·         Supervises HR specialists

·         Develops policies and procedures

·         Establishes improvement programs

·         Negotiates services and benefits

·         Manages assigned budget

·         Provides training and development to specialists or employees

·         Maintains economic indicators matrix database

·         Completes performance evaluations of his subordinates

Compensation:

·         Manages compensation and benefits policies

·         Manages communication strategies to employees

·         Updates all compensation and benefits practices

·         Participates in collective bargaining agreements with union

·         Prepares diverse surveys and in conjunction with other companies

·         Prepares salary grids

·         Manages system for job evaluations and need assessment

·         Elaborates market survey analysis and prepares competitive diagnostics

·         Coordinates & supports finance in the legal and fiscal analysis of benefits

·         Coordinates annual merit increase programs

·         Elaborates salary offers for new employees

·         Analyzes salary proposals for promotions and salary adjustments for all levels

·         Administers all corporate incentive programs

Candidate Specifications and Experience:

·         5 years experience as compensation manager or similar

·         Experience preparing salary (grid) and compensation practices

·         Experience with design, elaboration, and analysis of salary surveys

·         Experience with developing strategic compensation plans

·         Experience with job evaluations and job needs assessments

·         Knowledge of career path development and succession planning

·         General knowledge of human resource management and human resource functions

·         Knowledge of HRIS. Preferably TRESS and/or SAP

·         Solid systems background (i.e. MS-Office)

·         General knowledge of legal, fiscal, labor and IMSS

·         Organizational development experience is highly desired

·         Fluent in English and Spanish. Must have excellent presentation skills in English

·         Bachelor degree required (required business, industrial relations, accounting or similar)

·         Ideal candidate will be organized, customer service oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills and a team player

·         Must have excellent leadership and able to make timely decisions
