Prestigious Enterprise Company is looking for a Senior ETL Developer/Designer. Would prefer  an individual who has experience designing Cognos Data Manager, however will consider anyone who has experience designing any ETL tool; SSIS, Informatica, etc. The key to this is experience in writing ETL design specifications and then hand off the designs  to resources to do the  development. Though this individual all needs to still be doing ETL development. This person will be the ETL technical resource, lead designs and handle some development and third level support. Not  looking for just a developer/coder and not just someone who only designs ETL,  need a mix of the two skills.  

Position Summary:  The Senior ETL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business intelligence ETL solutions.  The position will also assist with data analysis, constructing technical designs, developing ETL applications, communicating with team members and business stakeholders, and supporting existing ETL applications.  This position will also lead and coordinate the work activities of offshore development and support resources.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Responsible for the design, development, and support of ETL applications for BI group
• Assist with data analysis
• Providing guidance and direction to offshore ETL support/development resources
• Interacting with other BI team members, offshore team members, and cross-IT staff on support and project activities
• Assist with task identification and effort estimates for ETL development
• Assist with risk and issue identification
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• 4 year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or in a related discipline
• At least 7  years of relevant work experience
• At least 4 years of ETL application development experience
• At least 2 years of ETL design experience
• Experience leading other developers
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong ETL design skills
• Excellent ETL development skills utilizing an ETL tool (i.e. Cognos Data Manager, SSIS, Informatica, etc…)
• Excellent SQL skills
• Strong understanding of SDLC best practices with an emphasis on DW/BI practices

Preferred:

• SQLServer database experience
• Cognos Data Manager/Decision Stream experience or SSIS experience
• Experience leading offshore resources
• ITIL certification
