Sr. Groovy/Grails/Java Engineer  

Experience: 8+ years experience with application development; ideally focus on enterprise-level systems

Technical skills

Required: Core Java; Groovy/Grails; SQL/MySQL;

Big plus: Flex; Spring; Experience with big data and other application frameworks

Nice to have: GWT; DHTML; Hibernate

We expect excellent core Java skills, ideally using latest JDK6 and having used Java in most recent several years. The position is 90% hands-on.

The candidate's role is to take full ownership of a key part of our system, the Pipeline Analytics (PA) engine. PA is used in conjunction with our proprietary versioned Database system, as well as our application UI. It is build on a Groovy/Grails/Flex stack. Ideally, the candidate becomes the go-to person for all aspects of the PA architecture. Responsibilities include maintenance, support, testing, and building enhancements. Work may include refactoring or migratio n of certain aspects of the system
