Job Description

The Scheduling & Credentialing Coordinator supports the clinical team by managing scheduling requests and credentialing processes from our internal clinical team, client hospitals and surgeons and service partners.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building relationships with medical professionals (doctors, nurses, hospital staff) and administrative personnel (schedulers, administrators, assistants).

The Scheduling & Credentialing Coordinator operates in a fast--?paced, dynamic start--?up environment and must have a proven track record in successfully managing several relationships and projects simultaneously.

The ideal candidate should be autonomous, detail--?oriented, have excellent work ethic and superior critical reasoning skills; and have 3--?5 years of proven expertise in an administrative or scheduling role within a healthcare provider organization (physician? office, hospital, care center, service provider).

Responsibilities

 Placing and answering calls and setting scheduled case appointments in our proprietary online calendaring system. Collecting surgery information including patient demographics, diagnosis and procedural information. Creating and managing a confirmation and post--case follow up process with both  internal staff and clients. Matching non--clinical calendar events for our clinical team (PTO, business meetings, etc) against case schedule.  Occasionally assisting in arranging travel for clinicians in the field as needed ? Managing all aspects of hospitaland surgery center credentialing process for our clinicians and physicians

Requirements

3-5 years experience in an administrative/scheduling role within a healthcare provider environment ? Bachelors Degree (preferably in related field)? Proficient in administrative computer skills and software: (M Office suite, Email management, Salesforce.com, Basic data entry & management, web--?based applications) ? Experience with dynamic medical calendaring systems ? Familiarity with basic hospital/operating room scheduling terminology and medical billing terms ? Knowledge of hospital administration, healthcare administrative environment, basic payor--?provider relations ? Experience with interfacing with patients, physicians and medical professionals ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing sample requested)
