The Joint Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) was established as a Deputy Secretary of Defense (DEPSECDEF) initiative to rapidly provide solutions to defeat the Enemy’s IED Campaign and save the lives of service members fighting insurgent networks that employ IEDs.

In support of JIEDDO, candidates will provide CONUS-based analytical services and support to produce Counter-IED analysis products that integrate intelligence and operational information from multiple sources are produced within the Latest Time of Value (LTOV) to enable deployed tactical forces to conduct offensive operations against insurgent IED networks.

MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.

Description 

Key Role: 

  • In support of this position, the candidate must be able to employ signature analysis based on signal information to predict the likely behavior of human enemy networks.
  • Candidate must be able to relate intelligence information to work specific problems such analysis of unique terrain features, route analysis, IED activity/events, caching of IEDs, produce IEDs, IED production, and support of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) requirements.
  • Candidate must possess expertise in the application of signals analysis to analyze, understand, and exploit the advanced signals that enemy targets use to communicate.
  • Candidate will be required to determine the signal characteristics of a location that is associated with activities of a human enemy network.
  • Candidate must be proficient in gathering, sorting and scanning communications and electronic signals to isolate valid intelligence.
  • Candidate will be willing to learn software programs and tools and databases that support advanced geospatial predictive analytics to complete job requirements
  • As part of the Request for Support taskings, candidate must be able to establish predictive insights into likely enemy activity that will help focus other analytical efforts, ISR, and tactical operations to anticipate enemy reactions and adaptations.
  • Candidate must be able to provide geospatially-driven predictions of threat activity based on a range of previously observed and evaluated physical signatures.
  • Candidate must have good briefing skills in order to present analytical assessments derived from signals analysis

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications:

  • MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must possess TS/SCI 
  • Mid Level: Bachelor degree and at least 10 years of related experience highly desired 
  • Related career experience may be substituted for substitute for education.
