The primary responsibility of this role, as Procurement Coordinator/Buyer, is to provide procurement services to the US Bayer CropScience (BCS) Business.
The incumbent will:
• Develop Procurement / Vendor Strategies for the allotted portfolio of chemicals;
• Be responsible for Strategic Procurement activities including category segmentation, minimizing single sources, documentation of procurement decisions and negotiation of procurement / supply contracts;
• Improve Working Capital and Procure to Pay Process within allotted portfolio;
• Ensure compliance to Bayer Procurement and Contract Management Policies;
• Ensure Vendor Performance and on time delivery of goods and services to BCS Production Sites;
• Support relevant Master Data set up, quality and accuracy including: Vendor Master, Terms & Conditions, Pricing and Lead Times;
• Facilitate invoice reconciliation with Accounts Payable / Vendor as required;
• Ensure Procurement Performance / Customer Satisfaction / Working Capital via established KPI’s and timely, accurate, and quality-focused delivery of Goods & Services;
• Support e-sourcing implementation and maintenance.

The selected candidate is required to possess the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/chemical engineering or related degree with specialization in Procurement or Supply Chain Management;
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and project management skills;
• Strong team player;
• Ability to network among various technical and non-technical functions including Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, R&D, Manufacturing, AP and Finance;
• Proficient knowledge of Business Systems is essential. Preference given to those individuals with SAP, APO and PP/DS enterprise systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISM) Purchasing certification.
Note: Salary and grade level will be commensurate with education and/or experience level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/chemical engineering or related degree with specialization in Procurement or Supply Chain Management;
