The Senior Network Engineer is a senior level position in the Infrastructure & Information Technology (I&IT) Operations and Engineering Team. The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation and operational support of network infrastructure, including but not limited to,
routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and VPNs. With a network centric focus, the role is pivotal in the assessment, architecture design and
implementation of I&IT solutions and ongoing viability.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
-Implements new infrastructure into the various operating environments of the company.(10%)
-Researches, assesses, documents and supports existing network infrastructure to be optimized, upgraded, consolidated and/or
replaced.
-Contributing to the development and evolution of the network infrastructure.
-Leads architecture design initiatives for new product based initiatives and conducts assessments, provides design solutions and facilitates implementation.
-Collaborates with the Corporate Network Architect to compose the network architecture road map.
-Architects, analyzes, evaluates and implements network Infrastructure and Information Technology (I&IT) solutions. Composes and maintains network architecture schematics and technical designs and specifications.

-Coordinates and/or provides the necessary documentation to operational support personnel to facilitate support (Level 1 to 4), triage and resolution of service delivery of network infrastructure issues. Core focus will be network centric but not limited to network infrastructure.(20%)

Your Required Knowledge and Skills
-Expert understanding of network infrastructure and design, general network security practises, solid ability to traige network infrastructure, including but not limited to, routers, switching infrastructure, firewalls, Load Balancing, extranets, IDS/IPS…
-Expert ability to implement network infrastructure.
-Expert understanding of LAN/WAN/Internet networking practices and concepts, BGP/OSPF/RIP, spanning tree, VPN, Cisco IOS and multi tiered & service zone network architecture.
-Experience with Access Controls (AAA) such as LDAP, Radius and TACACS.
-Solid understanding of current network protocols and possess solid troubleshooting skills (traceroute, tcpdump, netstat...).
-Strong technical writing skills.
-A solid understanding and ability to coordinate/conduct ITSM capacity planning and management reports.
-Coordinate and/or perform operational engineering economic assessments.
-Individual possess strong project management skills, solid time and priority management, strong communication skills (verbal and written) and effective in cross functional team environments.
-Individual possess good interpersonal awareness, principle based negotiation skills, ability to learn and takes ownership of issues until an appropriate champion is identified.
