Peoplesoft Technical Specialist
HDC is seeking an experienced Peoplesoft Technical Specialist to assist the Peoplesoft Payroll team to provide application development and maintenance for systems in the PeopleSoft platform.
The work will include all aspects of the software development life cycle, including analysis of issues, elicitation of business requirements, high level and low level design, peer reviews, development of code and development of corrections to code to address defects, assembling test plans, executing tests, and creating/updating system documentation.
The platforms are PeopleSoft HRMS 8.0/PeopleTools 8.22, eRecruit 8.8/PeopleTools 8.49, and Oracle 10g.
II. Duties and Responsibilities• Support application systems on the PeopleSoft platform. This support includes design, development, and deployment of enhancements and bug fixes to both simple and complex custom applications that use PeopleSoft tools and techniques. • Provide production support in the above mentioned application areas. This support includes troubleshooting of reported issues, and then coding, testing and implementing corrections to resolve issues, batch job monitoring etc.• Prepare CMM required documentation, when applicable (Impact Analysis and Design, Test Cases )• Write code to implement solutions, in whatever selected means: PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, Oracle Triggers/Procedures, etc. • Prepare weekly status reports highlighting issues and constraints that would impact timely delivery of work program items.• Communicate proactively with other team members and team leads.• Produce estimation of work plans, test plans and implementation plans.• Interact with clients to gather and specify requirement..
III. Qualifications and Experience• At least 7 years experience in developing and maintaining programs in PeopleSoft and SQR.• Excellent knowledge of PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Application Designer, PeopleSoft Workflow, PL/SQL, SQL+ and general Oracle technology• Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS 5 and 8 is recommended.• Conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving ability• Detail oriented. Someone whom we can rely on to develop and test the application in completeness.• Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team environment to support other technical staff as needed. • Strong verbal and written communication skills
