Job Description

Overview:

Our client has an immediate need for an Application Support Analyst. Web experience is also a nice to have. The person will come into the project and will learn the application. The project is scheduled to end at the end of March 2013 (it may go longer) but at that time the role will move primarily into a support function. The application is currently in production so there will be on-call support now as well as project work. There are 2 ASA’s in place now and this person will become part of that team and they will continue on in a support role.

Things you need to have:

  • Resolve technical support issues that cannot be resolved via telephone by Help Desk phones team.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of technical knowledge on our company’s applications and services
  • Programming and report writing
  • Application performance & tuning
  • Source code repository experience
  • Technical Requirements:
  • Programming Languages (e.g. Ki-Script, PL-SQL, Perl) Oracle , UNIX
  • An understanding of email clients and email systems.

 

It would be great if you also had:

  • Scripting
  • Java
  • Tomcat

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain an acceptable level of technical knowledge on our company’s applications and services
  • Support development/maintenance of custom reports and agents in Ki-Script.
  • Support interfaces to WISKI (e.g. acquisition and export).
  • Implements application configuration changes.
  • Investigates and supports resolution of technical issues and bugs.
  • Supports the business areas for application use (e.g. user-defined configuration, troubleshooting, etc.).
  • Supports user administration and security.
  • Performs system utility development.
  • Manages source code repository.
  • Supports implementation of WISKI updates (e.g. upgrades), and promotion of changes between environments.
  • Creates and maintains documentation for standard operating procedures.
  • Participates in 24 x 7 support when invoked.
