Job Description

Management of the field service engineers across Canada in performing service duties on health imaging equipment. Provides direction and coordination of all service staff and procedures in order to provide an efficient and effective working environment.

Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement service strategy in line with company strategy
Prepare annual budget for the service department
Increase service revenue by identifying areas of opportunity with equipment vendors as well as new opportunities with customer base
Management of service staff, including, but not limited to hiring, supervision and evaluation of staff performance and identification of staff training needs
Monitor the timely completion of emergency service work and get involved directly per the escalation process
Ensure that the field service engineers maintain installed base equipment to customer’s satisfaction, within specifications and regulatory requirements
Work closely with National Sales Director to ensure service revenue and profitability targets are attained
Encourage and promote service maintenance contracts
Manage the planning and installation process for all new equipment sales
Assist sales organization with RFP responses as they pertain to service offerings and technical specifications
Liaise with major equipment partners to ensure appropriate service levels and parts availability
Attend Conferences and Trade shows as required

Education
Technology diploma in an electrical or mechanical discipline
MCSE designation is preferred

Skills and Competencies
Demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills
Human Resource management would be an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with a team and independently to make decisions pertaining to service
Strong negotiating skills in obtaining service maintenance contracts
Good problem-solving skills in resolving customer satisfaction issues
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software package
Prepared to travel and work evenings as required

Work Experience
5+ years of field experience
5+ years of Health Imaging and Service Management experience
Management of a department/division would be an asset
