Job Description

Job Summary

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Analyst to join our Modelling Operations team at Kingswood, Surrey within Groupwide Finance Services.

This is an operational role where you will be an integral part of the team, assisting and supporting the team and our customers as well as delivering to strict deadlines.
 
Key Responibilities
 
Produce suitable, fit-for-purpose model points and experience investigation data/figures/reconciliations for use by the Risk, Savings and Actuarial Reporting Teams.

Running mainframe SAS programs to produce data required in above processesRunning Prophet Enterprise to produce output required for production of statutory and financial results.

Assist in the development of appropriate timetables, ensuring these are known and understood throughout Modelling Operations.

Continually develop knowledge base with respect to products, systems, customer needs and system developments. This includes ongoing development of both technical and soft skills.

Procedure manuals & flow diagrams should be kept up to date and ensure that best practice is documented.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the reporting production capability through identification of opportunities to strengthen the environment, processes and systems.

To assist and advise in project implementation, the development of processes and integration of systems.

To provide first line support for various IT systems, including issue resolution, management and liaison with other departments on larger issues.
 
Skills required
 
Financial Services Reporting Processes in a Life Company - having worked within a Financial Services reporting environment (gaining an understanding of actuarial processes and life assurance products).

An understanding of the L&G reporting processes, involving the production experience investigation data for use in financial reporting Prophet Models and the use of results from those models for the production of financial reporting outputs to external audit standards.

Able to work well under pressure, since production timescales during reporting periods are very tight and will require the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions on time.

Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel to Pivot Table/V-Look Ups level. Knowledge of how to use mainframe SAS, but SAS coding not required.
