Business Development Director - Asia Pacific (closed)
Our client is a Swiss-based provider of secured transportation, storage and logistics solutions to governments, financial institutions, auction houses and other businesses which require the handling of valuable cargo such as bullion and banknotes.
With a well established presence in Hong Kong, the company is now seeking to recruit a Business Development Director to further identify and develop regional opportunities, across new markets for existing clients as well as identifying new client either directly or through appointed agents in selected markets.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the secured cargo/transportation/logistics industry and will be a relationship builder who has developed strong relationships with suppliers such as airlines, security companies, and forwarding agents as well as potential clients who require these specialized services. You must be familiar with secure transportation protocol and must have some experience in performing security audits in order to implement and monitor agreed operational procedures to ensure compliance on behalf of our clients.
With the ability to communicate fluently in English and Chinese (other Asian languages are an advantage), you will have strong negotiation skills and direct experience in managing an agent network in Asia. You will be able to act independently and be goal/target driven with a hands-on approach to brining new opportunities to fruition. You must be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach as well as a proven track record of originating and closing business opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a relevant transportation/logistics background, ideally from a company with a Type II license issued by the Security Bureau, to join a well-respected European company with solid career advancement prospects globally.
Our client provides a very competitive compensation package for the right candidate. Occasional travel within the region is required.
Prospective candidates must have the right to live and work in Hong Kong.
