SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to work as a business partner with the Changzhou Plant, Sales and Service Management Teams, manage the general ledger (Ensure the accuracy of the information in the general ledger and the completion and quality of reconciliations of the general ledger data), manage the Accounting and Information Services staff and complete internal and external reporting requirements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:

Serve as the senior financial person at for AWP China
Work as a business partner with the Changzhou Plant, Sales and Service Management Teams
Manage the Financial reporting process
Manage the Cost Accounting process
Manage the general ledger process
Act as the main liaison with the Shared Service team in Shanghai
Manage the Information Services Team
Perform monthly budget variance analysis
Ensure the accuracy of the information in the general ledger
Manage and perform various account analysis and reconciliations
Ensure that local and global tax and custom issues are managed
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, accounting pronouncements and Corporate Accounting requirements
Ensure that we are in compliance with Chinese statutory reporting and accounting requirements
Manage the internal and external audit process
Prepare policies and procedures
Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required
Perform other functions normally performed by a Controller

JOB LOCATION:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree with an Accounting Major or equivalent
Ten or more years of relevant experience
CPA or MBA preferred
In dept understanding and application of US GAAP and PRC statutory accounting
At least 2 years experience in managing ERP systems and an Information Services Team
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Database query experience preferred
Financial accounting systems experience
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle large and complex amounts of data
Strong initiative and problem solving skills
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Fluent in English and Mandarin
Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement
Strong leadership qualities
Excellent learning skills and ability to assume greater responsibilities.
