We are looking for an IT Tester II who will be responsible for project testing activities and related deliverables within the CIFQA Competency Centre Team. The successful candidate is expected to follow the Quality Assurance methodology during project lifecycles ensuring specifications and functionality support business objectives


Must have:
- Solid MS Office Suite – solid EXCEL
- HPQC and QTP
- Exposure to or experience with distributed and host technologies and processes
- Good communication skills

Nice to have:
- Host environment

This individual is expected to:
- Review documentation to understand testing requirements, test environments and project objectives
- Contribute on the creation of various project documents in support of quality assurance (e.g. test strategy/plan, test cases etc.)
- Execute test cases with a high degree of accuracy
- Prepare, schedule and participate in test results walkthroughs
- Complete tasks according to project timelines/schedules and costs
- Participate in the creation and review of QA estimates/costs as required
- Provide timely escalation of issues and problems to QA Lead
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with project team members

Skill Requirements
- Exposure to or experience with distributed and host technologies and processes
- Solid system/business testing knowledge and experience
- Strong knowledge of testing methodology within SDLC
- Experience in participating test activities for complex projects involving many participants
- Solid knowledge of testing tools such as HP QC and QTP
- Exceptional ability to pay attention to detail and assess the full impact of system modifications.
- Solid MS Office suite skill
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills
- Good minute-taking capability
- Flexible and responsive to dynamic needs of the team
- Ability to work independently and on multiple activities with minimum supervision
