Additional Responsibilities:

Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications

Research and apply available security patches to all systems

Provide daily administrative support on all Linux systems

Provide daily administrative support for networking equipment used to deliver Linux based applications

Maintain existing and develop new operational procedures to increase application availability

Maintain existing and develop new backup strategies to ensure data availability

Maintain and extend monitoring and alerting frameworks

Maintain and extend configuration management procedures and applications

On-call support 24x7x365 operational needs including after hours

Position Requirements:

BA/BS Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

RHCE certification

Experience:

3 years administration experience in a Linux environment supporting high volume web sites

Experience with Redhat Enterprise or CentOS operating systems

Experience with Apache/Tomcat in a production environments

Preferred:

Citrix Xen Server virtualization experience in a production environment

Experience with highly available MySQL database configurations

Experience with Nagios and Splunk associated monitoring tools

Experience with Puppet and associated configuration management tools
