Recruitment for: Decking Installer
Location: Seattle and Bremerton

Specialty Marine Decking (a division of Specialty Finishes) is one of several companies in the Vigor Industrial family. We are a fast paced, highly successful industrial services company that specializes in industrial paintings and coatings, and marine decking. One of our specialties is the Installation and demolition of multiple types of Decking in the Marine Industry. Types of decking material include: hard tiles, soft tiles (vinyl, rubber, etc.), carpet, sheet goods, trowel finished epoxy systems/underlayments, and colorflake systems.

This position will perform work in both Bremerton and Seattle.

The ideal Decking Installer may have a back ground as a Tile Setter, and will be responsible for effective installation of products to marine deck surfaces meeting job specifications. This position is responsible for the exceptional installation of Quarry, Ceramic, porcelain and Mosaic Tiles. Installation of Soft Tiles, Sheet Goods, Carpet and Carpet tiles. Installation of Trowel Finished Epoxy Terrazzo, Colorflake and underlayments. Coordinate to mobilization and demobilizing job sites. Demolition of flooring and underlayment's. Prepare and prime steel surface. Hand load materials aboard vessels and into necessary spaces. Assist Installers with layout and installations of multiple flooring products. Good housekeeping of work site. Learn to practice and adhere to proper material disposal requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma/GED or 10th grade education with 6 months to 2 years equivalent industrial training and or equivalent industrial experience
• At least 2 years Installation experience in at least two types of flooring (Hard Tiles, Soft Tiles(vinyl, rubber, etc.), Carpet, Sheet Goods, Trowel Finished Epoxy systems/Underlayments, and Colorflake systems)
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required
