Associate Executive Director-Contracts
Prestigious Hospital is looking for an Associate Executive Director Contracts.
Provide direct oversight and direction to the following Network Departments:
Contracting Office, Purchasing, Materials Management, Duplicate and Print Shop Service.
Monitor the process and performance of all contracted services by ensuring agreements are current and
performance indicators are established; negotiate terms of agreements; improve contracted services that
do not meet expectations; increase monitoring of the contracted services; Provide consultation or training
to the contractor etc.
Monitor departmental staff compliance in meeting hospital or regulatory requirements
(ie, Occupational Health clearance, Annual In-service, Evaluations, etc.). Ensure personnel
are continually competent to perform their responsibilities in accordance with corporate, Joint
Commission, Federal and State Mandates.
Ensure fiscal stability and introduce cost efficiencies; Prepare and monitor departmental budget/expenses;
Participates in all functions of senior leadership, including planning, programming, and budget and
resource allocation, development of operating policies and procedures.
Serve as member of Executive Management Team and on various hospital committees
related to areas of responsibility; Serve on the roster of the Senior Administrator On Call Team.
Identifies and helps remove barriers that effect efficient supplies and materials for
patient care areas. Oversees the timeliness of deliveries and par levels of materials for patient care services.
Helps support the continued management of the medical, nursing, social and ancillary
service delivery system; Cultivate productive working relationships with staff, management and
physicians to improve care coordination, technology and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of hospital
administration, business administration, public health or health services management, and ten (10) years
or more of full-time experience at a senior level of responsibility in hospital or health services
administration. Experience in working in multi-cultural, unionized settings. Experience in public or
voluntary organizations managing organizational change. Extensive knowledge of hospital operations,
regulatory requirements (ie Joint Commission, CMS, DOH, DOMH, etc.),
applicable codes and standards, and health care strategic planning.
Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate customer service traits.
Proficient in Microsoft programs (ie excel, MS word etc.)
