The Creative Group is currently seeking a video editor for a high-tech client in Palo Alto. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and aiding production of various videos for use on external and internal social media projects. This person will engage with cross-functional teams to help design and edit various video production efforts.

The video editor will be required to handle all editing, encoding, authoring and live streaming as an individual contributor, working as part of a team.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Video editing using standard video packages such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Create Suite, or AVID Media Composer
* Graphics creation and editing and inclusion into the standard video segment
* Helping to produce/coordinate scheduling of interviews and location shoots if project requires it
* Digital asset management of all footage

This is a full-time contract opportunity, working onsite

Responsibilities:

* 2+ years experience in video broadcast and online video for the web
* Ability to videotape live, recorded and remote set ups on any number of consumer/professional HD cameras
* Ability to work as both the camera-person and editor
* Comfortable with Wireless and Wired Audio Recording
* Experience with documentary/news/interview style shooting helpful
* Strong knowledge and experience in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing tool
* Knowledge of codecs and compression formats for the web (QuickTime, h.264, etc)
* Basic proficiency in graphics and Adobe After Effects helpful and preferred
* Experience in authoring of DVDs through DVD Studio Pro or Adobe Encore
* Has experience in both studio and outdoor lighting set ups
* Can manage single and multiple camera shoots well as well as coordinate with an audio crew
