Job Description

                                     Dealer Operations Manager

Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a Dealer Operations Manager in our San Antonio, TX market. Position could be located in San Antonio or Irving, TX

 

Job Summary:

Acts as primary contact for major metropolitan district dealerships to elevate the brand and to achieve corporate sales objectives related to wholesale of vehicles, parts & accessories, and service contracts; and to achieve market representation objectives. Supports dealers in achieving their retail sales and customer handling objectives. Analyzes dealer operations, identifies areas in need of improvement, makes recommendations for corrections of problems and coordinates implementation of solutions. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.   

Monitors dealer's facility, capital and management to assure compliance with company standards and agreements; documents discrepancies and works with dealers regarding correcting infractions of policies, standards and procedures.

Works with dealership personnel and regional vehicle distribution staff in the allocation and ordering of vehicles by mix to meet wholesale and retail objectives.
 

Acts as primary liaison between the company and the dealer in communicating corporate policies, procedures, and new programs.

Monitors and evaluates customer handling; assists dealers in developing a strategy to enhance customer satisfaction.

Supports district, dealer and corporate activities such as auto shows, and other activities to effectively promote the Infiniti Brand.

Assists in the development and implementation of long and short-term marketing, promotions and retail sales plans with dealer management.

Coordinates or provides in-dealership training for achieving overall customer satisfaction, and dealer staff knowledge and understanding of the products and the brand initiative.
 
 Performs other responsibilities as necessary.

 

Requirements
Job Knowledge: 

 Thorough understanding of the various aspects of dealership operations including: vehicle distribution and related specialized (MAPS) software; marketing, advertising and promotions; market representation function, and sales & service agreements; customer satisfaction index (CSI) survey process and reports; parts & accessories sales and service operations; and financial analysis and business management operations.
Excellent oral, written communications and presentation skills. Good analytical skills.  Additional competencies include: decision making; relationship building; a results orientation; multi-tasking/prioritization; ability to influence or effect change; perseverance.

Experience:  10+ years of directly related professional-level experience, including experience in the following roles: national/regional sales and marketing experience (i.e., DPSM, market rep, distribution); consumer affairs; direct dealer contact experience (Dealer Operations, Fixed Operations, Financial Services; Audit, Retail); national/regional sales and marketing experience preferred; NMAC experience, especially as a FSM, 2+ years providing on-the-job training to new employees preferred.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.


Computer Skills:  MS Office Suite, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.

Travel:  More than 50% day and overnight travel.
