IT Business Analyst (closed)
The IS Business Analyst for the Global Procurement Business Unit is a member of the IT Corporate Staffs Technology and Major Projects Business Partner organization and is accountable for translating business strategies into IT requirements and developing business requirements for IS services. The position is also accountable to the IS function for advocacy of the IS policies, strategies, processes and practices.
This position will be focused in procurement processes such as Procure to pay, Export Compliance, Suply Chain and Supplier relationship/performance management. Preferred demonstrated experience in SAP (MM, MDM, GTS, SRM, SPM, etc.), P2P and vendor enablement processes.
Responsibilities may include:
The IS Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Converting business requirements and plans into actionable IT services
- Identifying and defining BU work processes and related IT systems and services and actively initiating improvements to the processes and systems
- Communication with the BU on IT services, costs and needs
- Managing the IT LRP for the BU through translating business needs/strategies into IT requirements and opportunities
- Completing project front end loading and funding approval for IT project opportunities, leading projects where appropriate
- Leading Business Analyst activities on IT projects for the business unit
- Defining IT performance metrics
- Managing the work request process for project and enhanced service requests
- Managing the monthly IT costs for the BU against the current budget
- Providing input to the budgeting process and obtaining BU alignment
- Defining service level requirements, value, demand and costs
- Working with the business unit, IT service management and IT service delivery, document and sign off on SLA?s
- Managing a detailed business specific software portfolio, including vendor relationships, negotiations, industry group interactions and long term strategies
- Defining and managing BU role-based software usage for planning and budgeting
Qualifications
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient (perform the skill with limited assistance) with Microsoft Office tools
- Demonstrated SAP experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related Information Technology field
- Demonstrated SAP experience with tracking costs, requisitions and purchase orders
- Demonstrated SAP experience with SAP PM, MM, PS and SRM modules
- Demonstrated experience in the Oil & Gas Industry and research technologies
- Expert (demonstrated skills without assistance) with Microsoft Office tools
- Demonstrated experience in project management methodology and tools
- Demonstrated experience with business process management methodology and tools
- Demonstrated experience with organizational change management methodology and tools
- Works well in a team environment and ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to influence
- Able to work independently, self motivated with strong customer orientation
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and priorities
