You are a highly skilled software developer who can face down every technical challenge on the front lines of a deployment as rapidly as they surface, all with a smile on your face. Integration, installation, hardware configuration, data scripting/massaging, and the ability to deal with customer specific use-cases come as naturally to you as the fundamentals of Computer Science. You dive into complicated programming tasks on your own because letting them sit unfinished would bore you to the point of madness. You pick up books, pursue technical challenges and work to expand your prowess for the same reason. You’ve written tight and clean code for at least a few years, and your technical chops are on par with those who write code all day, every day. Additionally, your customer-facing and project management skills are solid. 

Palantir is not a systems integration consultant, we’re a product company, which means that we’re not tracking our hours at the client site to make sure we’re profitable. • Develop code to customize the Palantir platform to tailor to customer needs
• Implement custom data integration solutions to handle various big data technical challenges
• Work in small teams to deploy Palantir instances at customer sites
• Demonstrate dedication to the mission of the customer and to that of Palantir
• Scope and complete complicated deployments, which might include unusual configurations, for a range of operationally relevant clients
• Be responsible for the success of deployments in various domestic and international locations (travel is optional)
• Support business development efforts as a technical subject matter expert

• Strong object-oriented programming skills
• Experience developing in a UNIX/Linux environment
• Experience with scripted languages
• Software development or field engineering experience
• Experience working with databases
• Ease in communicating with technical and non-technical personnel
• Agile project management skills
• Extremely detail-oriented and hands on

• BA/BS from a top university in Engineering, Computer Science, Sciences or Mathematics
• Strong Java skills
• Experience working with Oracle or Postgres
• Previous experience working with cloud-based technologies
