Sales/Systems Engineer (closed)
The Sales/Systems Engineer (SE) assists Company sales personnel through formal technical presentations and technical design assistance of Company products to existing and prospective Company customers. The SE also provides technical Company product information at exhibitions and speaking engagements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Ensures the pre-sales technical endorsement/presentation of Company products within target accounts.
Ø Provides design advice and technical guidance to sales personnel and clients in the application of Company products.
Ø Assists customers in understanding the integration of Company products into their existing technical infrastructure. Provides feedback to Company design and production personnel.
Ø Reviews impact of new Company product releases, new product features, delivery schedules, and competitor offerings with sales personnel.
Ø Assists in the preparation of client sales proposals.
Ø Represents Company at technical exhibitions, conferences, and speaking engagements to assist in explaining technical and performance information.
Ø Software deployment and integration of Company products.
Education, Experience, and Specialized Skills:
Ø Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Ø Minimum 4 years experience in software development or systems integration, preferably in a sales or sales support capacity.
Ø Extensive knowledge of all popular PC/Workstation operating systems, networking infrastructures, and web/client and web server environments.
Ø Extensive knowledge of network and internet security technology.
Ø Knowledge of Company products and awareness of competitor product offerings is a definite asset.
Ø Experience working as a technical lead in a pre-sales software environment.
Ø Professional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ø Ability to handle frequent travel and the stress of sales.
