The Company

Our partner is an established automotive aftermarket specialist currently distributing components to over 15 countries worldwide.  Continued expansion and strong growth plans has now created an exciting opportunity for a Technical Operations Engineer.  This is a varied but challenging role and would suit an Engineering or Mechanical graduate from the automotive industry.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager the Technical Operations Engineer will oversee planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes of existing and new manufacturers.  From an automotive background the successful candidate will have the ability to interpret component drawings, understand geometric tolerance and have experience of machining / assembly processes.  You will drive supplier improvement activities and manage specifications ensuring customer quality and supplier quality is met at all times.  Any experience or knowledge of ISO14001 and TS16949 is extremely advantageous.  This role will include overseas travel with the purchasing manager and the successful candidate must be able to travel worldwide.  The Technical Operations Engineer will provide support to sales department and customers but also run internal projects to ensure continuous improvement across departments and external clients.  A strong knowledge of metrology is essential and you will be a self motivated leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
