We are seeking Oracle DBA for to support Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g RAC databases. Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of databases supporting critical systems

Location: Metro Phoenix, Arizona

 Administrating Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g RAC databases. Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of databases supporting critical systems. Must be able to analyze business rules, business and system use cases, and logical data models and forward-engineer those models into physical database designs. Duties will include (but will not be limited to) software installation, data modeling, database creation, database migration, database backup/recovery, security administration, performance analysis, and capacity planning. Should be comfortable working as part of a team with the ability to work independently when necessary

Required Skills:

•Experience with Oracle versions 8i – 11g on Linux or similar Unix variant

•Experience with Oracle RAC / Clusterware / Grid 

•Working knowledge of DDL, DML, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints and cursors

•Proficiency with Oracle performance tuning

•Proficiency with database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN, EMC or NetApp snapshots

•Design high availability, replication and/or clustering infrastructures

•Ability to analyze and design physical databases and their definitions

•Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing

•Experience with installation, configuration and upgrades of vendor-supplied software, including contacting vendor on enhancements and problems

•Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities

•Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation skills

•Able to work independently and deliver high quality results when given a set of requirements

Preferred Skills:

•Experience with Oracle Spatial

•Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 

•Experience managing databases up to 10+ TB 

•Shell scripting (bash and Perl)

•Knowledge of HP, EMC and NetApp SAN hardware

•Knowledge of SAP and/or Electric Meter Data Management applications

•Experience with replication software, primarily Oracle Data Guard and EMC SRDF
