Senior Financial Analyst

£45,000 - £55,000 + £5,000 car/allowance + to 30% bonus + benefits

Operating within the highly competitive Retail & distribution sector, this market leader is currently undergoing significant transformation through a £1bn capital investment programme, resulting in a state of the infrastructure & service offering to customers. As a result, a career entry point currently exists for a Financial Analyst to support, end to end, capital expenditure projects and related accounting processes ensure efficient & appropriate tax treatments. A broad brief includes:

•Management & review of capital expenditure projects & month end fixed asset accounting including provisions, reconciliations & reporting
•Control of activities relating to capital expenditure projects & fixed asset accounting including  asset capitalisation, project transfers & asset disposals
•Review asset capitalisations to ensure correct accounting/tax treatments & related compliance
•Analyse value of work done & expenditure accruals across live projects
•Analysis of variances against approved & budgeted spend
•Calculation of monthly tax liability & preparation of draft annual returns of group companies
•Supporting the preparation of subsidiary & group annual & half yearly financial statements

As a qualified ACA, ACCA or CPA from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm, you will demonstrate an understanding of capital allowances & corporation tax, ideally gained within a capital accounting role or capital investment sector. Practical exposure to IFRS, UK GAAP & statutory consolidation procedures is highly advantageous. The role demands commercial flair, an eye for detail & the ability to interpret, collate & evaluate a range of complex technical accounting analyses. The group offers excellent career development.
