The role sought is for sr. level Java/J2E, Flex application developer based in North America. The individual will need to be very flexible and be able to react quickly to changing business needs.
As a Senior developer you will participate in application design and development. You will participate in design and code reviews, incorporate security requirements into design, and provide input to information/data flow. Comply with project life cycle methodology and adhere to IT control policies and guidelines. Incorporate corporate architectural standards into application design specifications. Identify applicable system platform, components, and dependencies. Document application specifications. Provide uniform integration into legacy systems.

Strong experience with object oriented languages and design patterns
Strong experience programming in Java
Strong experience with Adobe Flex technology, BLAZE DS (LCDS is a plus)
Exposure to database design and performance tuning

 

5+ years experience in the following areas:
complete software development lifecycle (analysis through deployment)
design and development of multi-tier software applications
Java, J2E, Sybase, SQL Server 2008.
Web Services / web development
Adobe Flex Action Script

 

Additionally:
Review test plans and perform code reviews
Manage day to day individual workload
Monitor milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of schedule and identify / mitigate risk
Promote teamwork in problem resolution
Domain expertise in Compliance Technology is desired
Should be able to translate high level design to detail technical design and implementation
Knowledge of version control (SVN) is must
Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment.
