SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Financial Accountant is responsible for providing financial administration, statutory and business control activities for the Freight Trading and Marketing Unit (TMU).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:

Maintain statutory financial accounts in accordance with accounting standards
Perform reconciliations of Profit & Loss accounts
Assist with analysis of monthly results via profitability analysis
Ensure appropriate financial checks and reconciliations are performed
Prepare and administer cost budget
Liaise with the appropriate personnel to ensure that Freight is in compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements
Prepare Australian income tax and GST returns
Prepare statutory accounts for three joint entities

JOB LOCATION:

Singapore

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors/Masters’ degree in Accounting, Economics or other equivalent discipline
Relevant working experience in Accounting/Finance or related field is required
Australian tax knowledge is compulsory
Experience with SAP applications is highly advantageous
Fluent in both verbal and written English
