Climate Change & Energy Policy Consultant

Salary: £40k-£50k
Location: London

Our client undertakes professional services to the energy and resources sectors, both Government and private clients.  They have experience across energy-efficiency, renewable energy and climate change and develop sustainable energy, energy-efficiency and climate change solutions for energy projects and clients worldwide.
To grow their business further in the UK and the international domain, they are looking for an experience senior consultant with experience in business consulting, policy making process and in policy evaluation.
 
The main areas for consultancy are:
  • Climate policy impact analyses and potential reduction estimates
  • Low carbon energy scenarios
  • Renewable energy policy and techno economic analyses
  • Carbon Capture Storage
  • Adaptation
Typical recent projects include advising Governments and Developers on a range of projects associated with the transition to a low carbon economy, techno/economic analysis for private sector utility clients and international adaptation projects.
Role Requirements
  • University education (preferably economics, engineering or science)
  • Relevant professional experience, preferably proven vast amount of experience in a consulting background
  • Strong content and market focus in the field of climate and energy policies and/or renewable energy
  • A relevant track record in delivering economic and policy evaluation projects
  • Commercial skills and good business sense to be able to identify and seize opportunities in a competitive market place
  • Extensive project management, proposal writing and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in negotiations with customers
  • Ability to work independently and achieve challenging targets
