Data Warehouse Quality Analyst-Team Lead
Description:
As a Data Warehouse Quality Assurance Leader you will formulate Quality Assurance (QA) strategies and oversee preparations of all test DW/BI team deliverables. In this position, you will lead team during the development process, communicating effectively and adapting to changes easily. You must have the ability to work independently, as well as oversee a team of testers. You will participate in the complete testing cycle: creation and execution of test plans and test cases, investigation of problems and verification of solutions. This will involve creating and executing test specifications from design requirements, analyzing and reporting test results to product and development processes, and reporting on defect resolution. Responsibilities include establishing and improving the organization's testing processes and overall effectiveness of meeting design requirements. Additional responsibilities are development of test plans, creation of test cases, and execution of test plans for a variety of different projects. You will find and track software defects in a bug-tracking database and manage the defect tracking system and its ongoing development. This position involves preparation of written reports detailing project testing status, trouble shooting any issues raised during the QA process, and assistance with trouble shooting any issues raised in production.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of software testing experience, preferable in the data warehouse (DW) development environment. Candidates must be proficient in use of Microsoft office to document, analyze and communicate testing results and have familiarity with Microsoft and IBM Enterprise development environments. Candidates must be able to understand complex systems and be familiar with at least one software programming language. Experience with automated testing, load testing, or other application server preferred. Solid communication and documentation skills. Required Skills: * 7+ years of Information Technology experience; * 5+ years of Quality Assurance Testing experience, automated and/or manual; * 2+ years of Data Warehouse specific testing experience * Knowledge or exposure in any of these data warehouse tools: (Informatica, DataStage, Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategies, MS BI Suite, etc.) * 3+ years as an QA Team Lead Four year degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
