Trade Application Engineer - Linux

Job Description:
Trading firm in Chicago looking for linux application support/engineer. You will support, configure, and troubleshoot  proprietary Linux based trading applications. You will also configure, install, and maintain Linux software on the front and back end. There is alot of communication with traders and development teams. You will design and manage implementation as well as work to solve and track issues that arise in a high frequency environment.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field 
• Scripting language knowledge with 
Shell, Python, Perl or PowerShell
• Coding isn’t a core capability but 
analysis of certain code will be
• Strong understanding of machine and 
operating system architecture
• Extensive experience with Linux 
systems; Red Hat preferred
• Knowledge of trading exchanges and 
understanding of financial instruments 
is a plus
