Seeking a SR DBA Oracle/SQL Administrator in Arlington, VA.,  for a 12-month contract.

Hiring bright and talented database administrators to support the US governemnt's software application development, maintenance, and support initiatives.  Our DBAs support cutting-edge applications that directly enable them to pursue its mission goals.   We're looking for more than a set of database skills – they are interested in your experiences, talents, interests, and enthusiasm for the craftsmanship and engineering aspects of database administration.   The DBAs must understand and use normalization techniques, application development strategies, database security, database tuning, SQL query optimization, storage management, backup and restore procedures, disaster recovery, mirroring, high availability, shell scripting, and other aspects of world-class, mission critical database administration.

Requirements:

• Experience as DBAs using Oracle 11g on HP/UX, or SQL Server 2008 R2 on Windows Server.
• Experience installing and supporting related software is required (e.g., Toad, Oracle Forms and Reports, SQL Server Integration Services).
• Must be able to interface with clients, and to provide briefings and documentation when required.
• Recent certifications are preferred.

Candidates considered will be subject to a Government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
