Job Description
Director, Health Information Management
- Plans, organizes, directs and administers the Health Information Management functions which lead to the maintenance of an accurate and complete medical record which is retrievable in an efficient manner.
- Assures compliance with all organizational, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor degree in Health Information Management.
- Certified as a HIM Administrator or Technician.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience with at least (3) years administrative/management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of health information practices.
- Knowledge of JACHO, HCFA, and PRO standards and processes.
- Demonstrated organizational, communication and analytical skills dealing with people, problems, issues, and information.
- Experience in a union environment desired.
Relocation is available.
