Job Description

 

Director, Health Information Management

 

  • Plans, organizes, directs and administers the Health Information Management functions which lead to the maintenance of an accurate and complete medical record which is retrievable in an efficient manner.
  • Assures compliance with all organizational, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.

 

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor degree in Health Information Management.
  • Certified as a HIM Administrator or Technician.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience with at least (3) years administrative/management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of health information practices.
  • Knowledge of JACHO, HCFA, and PRO standards and processes.
  • Demonstrated organizational, communication and analytical skills dealing with people, problems, issues, and information.
  • Experience in a union environment desired.
