EEG Tech (closed)
Description: Responsible for performing patient assessment, preparation and monitoring for electrodiagnostic surgical procedures following established clinical guidelines. Operates, maintains and troubleshoots associated medical devices/equipment. Functions in the EEG Lab, EMG Lab, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and various ICU settings (NNICU & PICU).
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors of Science Degree is preferred. Experience: 2 or more years of experience as an EEG Tech required. License/Certification: Registry or Registry Eligible by the American Board of Registered Electrodiagnostic Technicians (ABRET). Must become registered/certified within 4 yrs of hire date. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire. Job requires frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 – 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
