Database Marketing Analyst for a Financial Services leader! (closed)

This full service Financial Services organization with a strong focus on giving back to the community seeks a Database Marketing Analyst.
Location: Lower Mainland, BC
Salary: $60,000 – 75,000 plus comprehensive benefits and pension package
Responsibilities:

Introduce and identify new market segments, campaign designs and tracking methodologies

Support ongoing campaigns and ad hoc marketing and communications by collecting, organizing, presenting data
-
Make recommendations on data, generate, distribute, and track customer targets lists, track and report campaigns
-
Conduct primary and secondary research to support the union's customer strategy, to better understand the needs of target markets, and to improve customer experience and segmentation
-
Use appropriate segment methodologies to segment customers and the relevant characteristics, proactively identify new opportunities that will improve customer data, and deepen and expand customer relationships

Help Product manager identify new product initiatives, assist in analysis of product and service pricing, develop and manage predictive modeling tools

Conduct demographic, behavioral, and psychographic profiling, use internal data to model customer product preferences, and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and relationships

Identify gaps in the union's customer knowledge and propose and execute solutions
Requirements:
-
4 years experience in a similar within the financial services industry
-
University degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Stats, or Mathematics

Very strong SQL and SAS abilities and reporting experience, and a passion for numbers, analysis, and reporting

Expert knowledge of database query and reporting tools with promotional marketing

Ability to quickly created complex queries and reports

Expert-level analytical skills, expertise with database analysis and statistical software tools
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand explicit and implicit business requirements

Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications – specifically Excel and PowerPoint
-
Ability to work independently or within a team

Knowledge of business theory, marketing practices, research practices and product development process

Excellent organization skills and time-management ability with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
