Job Description

Our Client in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Financial Controller to provide direct financial and commercial support to Project Management.

Reporting to Director of Finance, the successful candidate will manage a team of Cost Controllers, Site Accountants and Stores Keepers. You will be required to ensure all business related financial controls are operational and that appropriate commercials are available for bidding/re-tender.

Your key areas of responsibility will be to: prepare, monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget; establish, maintain and coordinate the implementation of both Accounting and Accounting Control Procedures and Management Information Systems; provide pro-active financial and commercial management for existing retail business emanating from existing/new contracts; manage the accounting function in respect of purchases, payroll and operational expenses; provide information to the Head Office Finance team to issue invoices on a timely basis.  You will also be responsible for P&L statements of unit/event/sector, monthly closing and cost accounting reports.   You will assist in client collections, maintain a record of company assets and ensure verification and custody of the assets.  You will provide commercial evaluation, shaping and approval of new deals for new and existing business.

You should be a Chartered Accountant with 12 years professional experience.  An excellent communicator, you must demonstrate good commercial awareness and be a team-player.  You will have excellent analytical skills and be results focused.
