Performs development and testing work in all phases of developing Verizon network management systems, including software design, development, requirement gathering, documentation, function and various testing.

5+ years of IT experience with Java and J2EE, Using Oracle as the database for storage. Should be proficient in relational database design and usage (Oracle Prefered). In depth knowledge of SQL is required; Experience with Unix / LINUX / Red Hat is required. Proficient in XML structures and parsers (DOM & SAX ); Experience in server-side programming is required. Previous experience in programming to handle large volume of transactions is required ; Experience working with Weblogic or Tomcat is required ; Experience working with JBoss and Eclipse is desirable Experience with version control tools is required, preferably CVS Must be a good team player; Detailed oriented, resourceful, motivated and creative; Flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Work collaboratively and cross-functionally as part of a team as well as an independently; Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
