Astor & Sanders Corporation, an IT solutions provider, is currently seeking a Business Objects Developer to develop new Business Object Universes and integrate Universes with existing applications.  The successful candidate will have extensive experience using Business Objects version XI 3.1 to provide project support including analysis, design, and development for report generation. This is a full time position located in Washington, D.C. US CITIZENSHIP is REQUIRED.  Roles and responsibilities include:

• Serve as a member of the project team that supports application development and architecture using Business Objects.
• Provide Business Objects administrative support to application team members.
• Implement 2 and 3 tier architecture solutions.
• Provide general assistance, advice, and critiques to various team users and management personnel regarding such matters as new or improved system design, testing and implementation techniques, documentation adequacy, user acceptance testing, and application efficiency/integrity.
• Provide analysis and research on Business Objects and other Business Intelligence tools.
• Work with and teach other team members Business Objects reports and universe creation.
• Conduct and support the analysis of business processes as they relate to the business processes, system user interfaces and the underlying data structures.
• Work with business areas to define report and data requirements.
• Interpret production database model and data relationships and work with business users to define requested reports.
• Support the generation and analysis of regular reports.

Experience:

• 5 years professional working experience with SAP Business Objects XI 3.1 is required including expertise in Universe design and report and dashboard development is required.  SAP Business Objects BI 4.0 experience desired.
• Experience with SAP Business Objects XI 3.1, Universe Designer, Web Intelligence, CMC, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius 2008, SAP BO Lifecycle Management (LCM), Business Objects Data Integrator, Business Objects Data Services, Business Objects Data Federator.
• Experience in identification of business and data requirements and converting them into conceptual and logical/physical dimensional models

• Experience with enterprise database management systems and tools including Oracle 10g, PL/SQL, TOAD, Oracle Warehouse Builder
• Bachelor’s degree is required; degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or a related field is strongly preferred.

Skills:

• Strong technical understanding of business intelligence tools and demonstrated problem solving & troubleshooting skills are required.
• Ability to integrate the Business Objects suite of applications with existing software applications.
• Understanding of the software development environment and related processes.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
