Bergmann Associates has an immediate need for an Energy Engineer, to design, develop & evaluate energy-related projects or programs to reduce energy costs or improve energy efficiency during the designing, building, or remodeling stages of construction. The desired candidate may specialize in electrical systems; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems; green buildings; lighting; air quality; or energy procurement.

Desired Qualifications:

BS or MS dgeree in Mechanical Engineering, EIT preferred

Experience and interest in building auditing, benchmarking, energy use and load calculations, and systems evaluation.

Has exposure to government and utility energy evaluation and incentive programs.

The candidate should have a background and understanding of building mechanical systems, HVAC, lighting, control systems, and alternative energy sources.  

Strong report writing and Microsoft Excel skills are required. 

Experience with infield instrumentation, testing equipment, and logging equipment a plus. Some travel, fieldwork, and direct client interaction is required.
