Location: Greenville, SC

Job Opportunity:
The Electrical Engineer works within the Electrical Engineering team, and will be responsible for low and high voltage electrical systems design and release for electric vehicle charge stations.  This person will support current charge systems and work to implement new technology solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Design and release of low and high voltage systems for electric vehicle charging systems
- Design and release of vehicle-to-charger connection systems
- Interface with charger supplier to generate and maintain specifications
- Create electrical system requirements for charging stations which cascade customer requirements into vehicle, subsystem, and component technical specs
- Ensure electrical systems are properly integrated with control strategies
- Release schematics and harness drawings
- Work closely with mechanical design group where required
- Implement industry best practices for High and Low Voltage distribution
- Create robust DFMEAs
- Work with product validation group to ensure product is validated to meet system requirements
- Author statement of requirements as part of strategic sourcing initiatives
- Support field incident resolution for issues related to vehicle and charging station
- Maintain State-of-the-Art knowledge of related topics
- Implement new technology and aid research group in development of future products

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Required
- Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering Preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in high and low voltage power distribution within the transportation industry
- 3-5 years of experience in electric vehicle charger connection systems, power transfer and charging system interface
- Significant experience with transportation industry electrical system design best practices
- Thorough knowledge of transportation rated embedded systems
- Thorough understanding of controls system software
- Experience with SolidWorks and/or ElecWorks
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink and C++
- Familiarity and experience in design of power electronics for high voltage applications a plus
