Key Role:

Provide database programming support and troubleshooting to IT projects.  Implements database upgrades, backups, and restores.  Configure, optimize, and support relational databases.  Develop and maintain web interfaces to database information.  Design, develop, and implement complex database systems, programs, and applications.  Work with users to identify and develop system requirements taking into account desired results, hardware limitations and operating requirements.  Analyzes user needs to develop solutions.   Knowledgeable on the Systems Development Lifecycle.  Able to build strong customer relationships and be comfortable in a client site setting is required.  Position is located in the northern Virginia area

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with relational database systems (Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, etc.) (NOTE: Sr. Consultant requisition should require 2+, Associate requisitions should require 5+)
• Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used web/technology concepts, practices, and procedures
• Experience with the Systems Development Lifecycle
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• BS degree in a scientific, or technical field required
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with Java/J2EE
• Experience with ETL Development, Data Modeling, Testing and Documentation
• Experience with Eclipse and Tomcat
• Experience with ActiveMQ and JMS
• Experience with Backup and recovery, DIACAP / STIGs, SAN / NAS, VMWare, Remedy / JIRA exposure, Subversion, Cacti / Nagios, or ITIL v3
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with the Project Management Framework
• Possession of excellent team leadership and development skills
• Possession of excellent client relationship skills
