As a SQL Server DBA at Shopko you will:

• Be responsible for the design and delivery of database technology to solve business needs.
• Maintain effective internal control of the database involving implementation, tuning, throughput, optimization, security and integrity of the environment.
  
  

The ideal candidate has:

• An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school in Data Processing.
• Applied knowledge of logical and physical database design and SQL tuning.
• Knowledge of database security.
• Knowledge of application and database performance and tuning relating to Oracle.
• Applied knowledge in database backup and recovery procedures and software tools with a preference for the the following tools: TSM, TDP, Rman and Storage Agent.
• Applied knowledge of RDBMS technology in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server or both.
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
