The Videoconferencing Network Engineer is responsible for the global design, implementation and on-going development of all aspects of the technology, including but not limited the hardware and network dependencies, road mapping and inter-dependencies with voice and data architectures. The position is New York based, on a full time basis, and reports to the Global Head of Multimedia Engineering. Responsibilities The primary focus is the research, development and implementation of the videoconferencing network and all related architecture, product offerings and inter-dependencies, globally. Responsibilities include but not limited to researching new technologies, finding solutions to client requirements, deployment strategies, governance polices, validation testing, performance analysis, interoperability, troubleshooting, analyzing and documenting network performance. The support of productionized technology, such as Tier III escalations for videoconferencing network daily operational related issues, is considered a secondary focus.

Preferred Work Experience - Minimum five years of in-depth videoconferencing network engineering with Cisco/Tandberg architecture including hands-on and senior responsibility for Codian 8510 MCUs, VCS gatekeepers, Cisco/Tandberg gateways and Tandberg Management Suite (TMS) and practical experience in security for videoconferencing devices (required) - 2 years demonstrated experience in videoconferencing network development (required) - Solid understanding of network infrastructure running VoIP, QoS, SIP, H323, video conferencing and video streaming (required) - Experience with setting up video networks that require communication through firewalls and implementing related security processes, procedures technologies and dependencies (required) Technical Requirements / Skills - Hardware: routers, firewalls, switches and VPN experience (required) - Cisco router and switch experience (required) - Practical experience with remote monitoring tools (required) Protocols and Technologies: - QOS,VoIP, SIP, H323, ICE/TURN/STUN/SBC, WAN (SONET, DS3, T1, Ethernet) (required) - Software/OS: JunOS, Cisco IOS, Unix, Linux, Windows (all flavors of desktop and server), NMS, TACACS+, RADIUS, NetFlow (Cacti), NAC (802.1x). General knowledge and some applied experience (required), greater knowledge and experience (preferred) - H.323 and SIP, TIP/RTP, H.264, SVC and related protocols (required) Other Strong blend of analytical, decision-making and creative problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. This individual is e expected to be a critical contributor to the multimedia engineering team and provide leadership and direction to the entire firm in the area of videoconferencing and related video infrastructure technologies. Preferred Work Experience - Experience with intrusion detection, network disruption testing, anti-malware and penetration analysis. (preferred) - VCS-Expressway and/or related firewall traversal technology (preferred) - Polycom, Lifesize and related videoconferencing endpoints and architecture as well as Cisco/Tandberg (preferred) - Call Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Telepresence (Immersive) technology (preferred) - Five years enterprise networking and core routing/switching experience (preferred) - Experience managing Internet routing and services (DNS, www, etc) (preferred) - In depth knowledge of MPLS VPNs and underlying dependencies for videoconferencing. Experience working with video in a virtualized desktop environment (preferred) - Experience with enterprise-grade monitoring system such as Cisco Medianet and Prime Collaboration (preferred) - Experience engineering/managing streaming technology (preferred) Education Secondary degree in related field (preferred) Technical Requirements / Skills - Juniper Networks Routers and switches (preferred) - Audio-Visual/Multimedia technology experience (preferred) - Knowledge and applied skills in mobile space (preferred) - Control system language programming and utilization of video device API (preferred) Protocols and Technologies - Software/OS: JunOS, Cisco IOS, Unix, Linux, Windows (all flavors of desktop and server), NMS, TACACS+, RADIUS, NetFlow (Cacti), NAC (802.1x).
