Field Service Engineer Medical

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • · Provide on-site installation, maintenance, service, and technical support for products systems at various customer locations. Primary CSE geography is in the US. Occasional international travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • · Provide customer support on-site and by phone, including training, troubleshooting, service, and quality assurance.
  • · Perform remote fixes of CT scanners using web-based customer service and support systems.
  • · Functions as a technical resource for Assistant CSE’s.
  • · Performs on-the-job training for Assistant CSE’s.
  • · Directly accountable for the accurate, timely, and complete processing of all paperwork (both electronic and hard copy).
  • · Manages and is accountable for parts and other company assets assigned.
  • · May be given temporary assignments by the Customer Service Director.
  • · Comply with all applicable SOP's and maintain compliance with FDA and ISO.
  • · Proactively and continuously improve internal processes, products and services.
  • · Actively participate in Customer Service lab project. Ensure that lab projects are completed in an organized and efficient manner
  • · Accurate and timely completion of personal expense reports
  • · Understand and participate in Open Book Management
  • · Continuously improve skills by seeking knowledge of and experience with Products
  • · Make fiscally responsible decisions to keep service part costs and travel expenses as low as possible

Required Profile:

  • · Detail-oriented.
  • · Good knowledge of networking required.
  • · Excellent communication skills.
  • · Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting/repairing skills.
  • · Knowledge of CT scanners and X-ray machines highly desirable.
  • · Experience installing, configuring, and supporting windows operating systems, and Windows-based application software.
  • · Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise discretion and use independent Judgment.
  • · Service oriented, results-driven, and committed to delivering exceptional customer Satisfaction.
  • · Ability to resolve complex technical problems.
  • · Ability to plan travel to customer sites in the most cost and time efficient manner.
  • · Ability to create and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • · Ability to lift and carry medium- to heavy-weight components (e.g. up to 100 lbs.)
  • · Ability to travel extensively on short notice (up to 80%).
  • · Ability to consistently extract referrals from existing customers.

Education:

- Associates degree in Electronics Technology, Military electronics background and/or Technical degree

Experience:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electro-mechanical Field Service
