Do you have an Accounting background but are tired of sitting behind a desk all day? One of Canada's largest multi-disciplined commercial and industrial contractors requires a Cost Accountant to travel to their project sites across the country.

Primary Responsibilities
Communicate with the Project Manager regarding contract costs, change orders, other contract approvals
Prepare or assist with billings/invoice packages
assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing, advise and research all under billings, determine or Provide details to get billing on track
Streamline administrative methods to be consistent wherever possible
Support client or internal audits if required including research and reconciliations
Perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager
Compensation

Education
College diploma or University degree in Accounting/Finance
Skills and Competencies
Must be willing to travel nationally
Intermediate or advanced computer literacy, including experience with spreadsheets and accounting software
Ability to work well with others under tight deadlines and respond well to changes in priorities
Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
Employ problem-solving skills and analysis
Understanding of the project structure in a client/service orientated business environment
Work Experience
2+ years of Cost Accounting experience
Industrial/construction environment would be an asset
ERP system experience
