Job Description:

As a Sr. Software Quality Assurance Test Engineer you must demonstrate up-to-date expertise in SQA technology and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans in the application of information and best practices. 

 

Responsibilities:   

•           Design and implement testing processes and SQA methodologies necessary to deliver scalable, maintainable, and defect-free system(s) in an on-time and cost effective manner

•           Serve as QA interface with software developers and end-users 

•           Reports significant defects and tracks all defects and project issues 

•           Analyzes test results from a technical standpoint and the ability to isolate defects prior to escalating to the development team for resolution 

•           Track test coverage and other metrics 

•           Contribute to the continuous advancement of current QA processes and maintain repeatable processes 

•           Work closely with the development team to develop manual testing strategies and improve test coverage

•           May plan and direct the testing performed by others involved in the qualification of products and applications 

 

Required Skills & experience:   

•           7+ years of experience in a manual quality assurance team environment with enterprise class RIS/PACS products

•           Strong understanding of HL7 and DICOM standards with strong product testing experience in these areas.

•           Good understanding of Radiology/Cardiology workflows[RIS-PACS  and HIS-PACS workflow knowledge required]

•           Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent experience 

•           Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills 

•           Have a proven track record of developing Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Data 

•           Understand the complete software life cycle and the value of designing and building for quality upfront 

•           Must be a responsive, flexible team player that is self-motivated, self-starting, and enthusiastic 

•           Understanding of Agile Methodology and other software development methodologies 

Strong organizational and problem solving abilities 

 

Desired Skills & experience:   

•           Software Engineering background is desirable 

•           Understanding of software metrics is help full
