Fujitsu is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager & Implementation Consultant for a contract opportunity based in Vancouver, BC.

Start date:        June 2012

Duration:          ~ 8 Months 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Replacing existing legacy workstations & maintaining a standardized workstation environment with a minimum number of versions of operating systems to minimize support costs
  • Reducing operational risk in moving client's custom business applications to COTS applications, and peripherals to a standard image
  • Managing stakeholder expectations and communicating issues / risks that impacting project timelines using  change control and scope containment techniques, and ensuring up-to-date project artifacts, including charters, work plans, change documentation, etc. are vetted, communicated, and made available

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A university degree from a recognized institution in Business Administration, Computer Science and/or combination of related education experience, with at least five (5) years of project management experience within the last 5-7 years
  • Strong attention to accuracy, details, an analytical thinker, problem-solver and negotiator with the ability to communicate to senior management and stakeholders
  • Previous work experience with a healthcare organization, healthcare solutions, clinical information systems, or eHealth initiatives and/or programs
  • Demonstrable experience and proven track record of successfully leading and managing medium sized teams and projects with high organizational visibility
  • Established background in effectively prioritizing and managing tasks and deliverables within strict timeframes and articulating approach to organizing and managing a software and peripheral testing program

NICE-TO-HAVES:

  • Have attained PMP certification or equivalent
  • 5+ years Clinical Information Systems implementation(s) in the role of a project manager
  • Operating Room (OR)Systems Implementation experience
