Job Description

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is searching for top notch candidates for a Human Resources Manager role in the Waterloo Region.

Responsibilities will include:

    • Managing positive employee relations for all facilities
    • Oversee the administration of the Health & Safety programs 
    • Participate in accident and incident investigations as needed and WSIB claims management
    • Coach managers and supervisors on Performance Management Process
    • Investigate, advise on, prepare documentation and participate in Corrective Action Process
    • Prepare all documentation for terminations and participate in termination meetings
    • Manage and facilitate in the recruitment process
    • Make recommendations at salary review & bonus time 
    • Benefit Management and Administration
    • ISO 14001 Environmental Leader
    • Budget preparation for the department
    • Prepare letters for work permit, monitor foreign nationals work permits and file renewals
    • Monitor, schedule and budget for annual training


Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a HR Manager position in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing employee relations to ensure positive supportive culture
  • College diploma and/or University degree
  • CHRP designation an asset
  • Strong communication, leadership and conflict management skills
  • Able to work at a fast pace in an environment where priorities change rapidly
  • Must be able to travel internationally
