Job Description
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is searching for top notch candidates for a Human Resources Manager role in the Waterloo Region.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing positive employee relations for all facilities
- Oversee the administration of the Health & Safety programs
- Participate in accident and incident investigations as needed and WSIB claims management
- Coach managers and supervisors on Performance Management Process
- Investigate, advise on, prepare documentation and participate in Corrective Action Process
- Prepare all documentation for terminations and participate in termination meetings
- Manage and facilitate in the recruitment process
- Make recommendations at salary review & bonus time
- Benefit Management and Administration
- ISO 14001 Environmental Leader
- Budget preparation for the department
- Prepare letters for work permit, monitor foreign nationals work permits and file renewals
- Monitor, schedule and budget for annual training
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a HR Manager position in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing employee relations to ensure positive supportive culture
- College diploma and/or University degree
- CHRP designation an asset
- Strong communication, leadership and conflict management skills
- Able to work at a fast pace in an environment where priorities change rapidly
- Must be able to travel internationally
