COUNTRY TAPE SALES SPECIALIST (closed)
As part of our new year’s plan Oracle Hardware is looking to recruit a Tape Sales Specialist to develop tape sales opportunities and maintain customer relationships within a defined account base, to achieve the agreed sales targets through the sale of Oracle tape solutions. We are looking for a true sales entrepreneur capable of planning and execute an efficient go to market strategy for our tape products, a real hunter who can be up for the challenge to position this portfolio to the right level.
Responsibilities
Identify and win new tape business solutions.
Work with the Oracle approved channel partners where appropriate to define, recommend and drive sales.
Prepare tender documents, sales proposals and customer presentations according to Oracle policy and provide assistance to other members of the Oracle sales team as required.
Develop a call plan that provides complete account coverage of the territory (Switzerland)
In conjunction with the Solution Architects develop appropriate sales programs, maintain up-to-date competitive information and compile success stories.
Manage your accounts to ensure Oracle actively participates in all potential sales opportunities either directly or in concert with a partner.
Prepare and implement measurable Account Plans utilising multi-level sales strategies. These plans will also include how we can work with our partners to provide a business solution with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Monitor, report and counter competitor sales strategies. Ensure you own personal development is proactive and discuss your needs with the Regional Manager.
Attend regular branch meetings. Maintain a high level of customer sat within your territory. Understand the overall Oracle go-to-market value prop. Leverage the greater Oracle ISO team.
Experience / Qualifications / Essential Skills / Knowledge
Minimum 3-5 years sales experience, managing accounts for at least 2 years.
Successful sales track record in storage and understanding of sales trends / market segments. Proven capacity to develop lasting relationships with customers, with effective problem solving skill and ability to present innovative solutions to customer needs.
Relate to people from a range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and physical and mental abilities.
Ability to cope with change in product tools, processes and technology.
Excellent communications and negotiation skills to close sales deals.
Good organizational and planning ability, setting and managing priorities.
The ability to conduct needs and cost benefit analysis, forecasting and complete tender requests and sales reports.
Provide technical leadership in the tape portfolio in support of the identification,evaluation, development, or closing of strategic and tactical business opportunities
Maps customer business requirements to technical solutions and provides technical leadership toward their implementation.
Defines requirements and recommend solutions. Works closely with the Account Management Team Provides consultative sales support which includes product / technology / solutions positioning and feature / functionality consultation.
Ability to define and articulate customer value propositions for products, technologies or solutions within a specified technology or solution discipline.
- Responsible for creating product / technology / solutions architectures that meet specified customer requirements.
Technical Knowledge Good presentations skill [creating and delivering] Relate a proposal in terms of customer value and impact. Basic understanding of Backup and Archiving.
