Senior Manager- Advisory,Performance Improvement - Oil & Gas - Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait (Any location)
This is for our client, one of the BIG4 consulting companies, to be located in the Middle East.
As a member of the Middle East Oil & Gas Practice, you'll build valued business relationships in the market and internal peers and develop a portfolio of business by focusing on high impact opportunities. You'll lead presentations and proposals for medium complex projects or elements of highly complex projects, and provide subject matter insight to bids and proposals. Drawing on your skills and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You'll package overall project findings into clear, concise, high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems. Driving improvements in business processes, you'll serve as a role model for quality and risk management and make sure that project teams understand and comply with quality and risk management guidelines. You'll communicate with engagement partners and managers and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams, and help key staff build sustainable competencies.
Client responsibilities
► Participate in and, as required, lead engagements
► Manage financial aspects of client engagements and communicate significant issues, fees, and estimates to complete to partners and clients
► Assist partners and directors with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships
► Understand our full service offerings and people capabilities and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients
► Build strong internal relationships with in Advisory and across other services.
People responsibilities
► Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff
► Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff
► Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training finance professionals
► Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
► Understand, follow and communicate workplace policies and procedures to all levels of staff
Technical skills requirements
You'll have knowledge and experience of leading practices in a number of the following areas:
► Finance function transformation
► Supply Chain transformation
► HR transformation
► IT transformation
► Planning, budgeting and forecasting
► Business and individual performance measurement and performance management
► Management accounting
► Cost reduction opportunities
► Shared service / business process outsourcing
► Financial statement close process
► Organizational design and business modeling
Additional requirements
► 10+ year’s experience, having working internationally
► 5+ years business/industry experience with International Oil Company or National Oil
Company with a preference for upstream
► 5+ years consulting experience in Oil and Gas indus
► Certified Lean and Six Sigma, prefer Master Blackbelt
► Experience in leading and delivering Kaizen events
► Proven track record of delivering projects in the industry, including quality and process
improvement, cost reduction, and process design
► Project and program management experience
► Excellent presentation skills
► Statistical analysis using minitab and related tools
► Experienced in managing people and teams
► Experience in business and proposal development
► Engineering and MBA degrees (recognized universities)
► Fluent written and spoken English, bi-lingual Arabic is a plus
