POSITION SUMMARY
The Advisory Services Manager – Supply Chain Technical SME will be a technical member of the 1SYNC Professional Services team and will be responsible for positioning and providing advisory services to all current and new 1SYNC customers. This will be a true technology architect role and as such this resource will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing and designing a technical solution. The most common technologies that our customers utilize are SAP and Oracle. As such the resource will be required to have technology architecture skills on those platforms. The resource will be involved in pre-sales, delivery and then post-sales support activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Manage and deliver the technical portion of Advisory services engagements
- Support the sales and delivery teams in the sale of the solution by providing technical expertise
- Collaborate with the Product Management and Technology teams to build and deliver the “right” solution for the customer
- Support in scoping the appropriate technology requirements for advisory services engagements(both time and cost)
- Direct the development and implementation of advisory services procedures and initiatives to achieve or exceed operational goals
- Support the creation and implementation of the advisory services plan fitting within the 1SYNC strategic plan
- Establish, communicate, organize and implement consulting practices and procedures to ensure consistent compliance
- Actively participate in business development calls to facilitate moving the customer engagement to completion
- Seek to engage early in the Discover / Diagnose phase and stay with the engagement through Deliver on the technical side
- Build and manage relationships with third-party Solution Partners (certified by 1SYNC or not) to expand our advisory services practice
- Work collaboratively with internal leaders, such as Solution Sales Directors to implement advisory services strategies that meet their goals
- Collaborate with Account Management teams to uncover new advisory services opportunities
- Build a deep, trusting and communication-exchange relationship with Technology, Product and Solutions, Customer Service, and Community organizations by bridging the technical gap
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university. MS a plus
- Minimum 7 years of technology consulting experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience of actual technical supply chain consulting
- Minimum 5 years of application development experience
- Minimum 7 years of technology architecture experience
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:
- Expert in SAP / Oracle modules and their architecture
- Must know Basis, Netweaver
- Must know SAP MM, SD, SCM
- Expert technology architecture
- Strong application development experience (Java, .net)
- Strong understanding of Unix OS
- Strong ability to convert functional requirements into technical
- Supply Chain knowledge

- SAP Data Governance experience
- SAP WM, eWM
- Oracle Retek experience
- Tibco MDM experience
- Lansa Direct Connect, GXS PIM, Stibo and/or DemandTec
- Supply Chain knowledge in CPG, Retail

- Knowledge and proven experience of Miller Heiman Strategic Selling preferred
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires 50-75% travel.
